"Illuminated" Tarot Cards

One of my favorite tools for setting intentions is a tarot deck. I can't say I buy into these cards as a tool for divination, but they can be a great way to help me think about part of myself or my life in new ways. When I'm in practice, I draw a card each morning before my meditation to open my mind to a focus that isn't "need to to laundry today," or "must check email."

I love this set of tarot cards for several reasons.

1) They are the art and brainchild of Caitlin Keegan, a New York-based illustrator.

2) She originally drew out each card by hand, drawing one per day as a daily practice.

3) The deck comes with a guidebook with short card descriptions and an introduction to reading the cards.

4) This set is large. It's fun for kids to play with or to make a big spread on the floor.

5) The box it comes in is a foil stamped hard case. It would fit in beautifully with books on a bookshelf.

6) The large and lavishly illustrated cards fold the Major and Minor Arcana of the tarot into a fifty-three card deck that can also be used for traditional card games as well!
